    Explanation: Amygdala is a small region of the brain, it is located at the temporal lobe of the brain. It's referred to as an almond shaped structure since one part of it is shaped like an almond. It is most commonly associated with fear but it's not it's only function. Amygdala, from the external world, gets sensory information then connects them on the output side with all the systems involved in emotional reactivity.
