Which is the most fundamental chord in music? consonant chord, triad, dissonant chord, dominant chord or arpeggio

    I IV V I chord progression. However it is hard to say which is the most fundamental due to the different genres of music. Generally speaking I IV V I is important when it comes to classical music, which relates to circle progression which you probably know about because of the circle of 5ths.
