    Yogi Berra - Lawrence Peter Berra (1925-2015) died at 90 years old. In 1946 he started his baseball career with the New York Yankees.

    He was the first player to make a notable influence in a pinch. In 1947 during Game 3 of the World Series he hit the first pinch-hit home run.

    Berra was named the most valuable player of the American League.
