If an artist wanted to draw a dynamic scene of a storm at night, charcoal would be a good medium to use.

    It is up to the artist if he wanted to use charcoal for drawing a dynamic scene of a storm at night. However, charcoal tends to spread on the art and it takes a long time for it to dry. Graphite pencils were actually the recommended medium to use for shading and adding a darker tone to the art. It is also not messy unlike the charcoal.
