How does crossing over increase genetic variation in organisms

    Crossing over allows each chromosome to be unique, which creates variation in every organism.

    Crossing over increases genetic variation because due to this, each of the homologous chromosomes get a new combination of traits / genes and since a each cell has different homologous chromosomes, genetic variotion will occur
