The male and female reproductive systems are there to produce gametes, and aid in fertilization and reproduction. There are different reproductive organs in males and females, which are characteristic of each other. For example, the presence of a penis, and scrotum. These are designed to produce and deliver the sperm, as male gametes.

The female reproductive system is composed of ovaries and uterus. They are designed to produce the egg, the female gametes, and develop and nurture the fetus, inside the women's body.
