Ectopic pregnancy is an abnormal type of pregnancy that occurs on the Fallopian tube instead of the uterus. In normal cases after fertilization taking place in the Fallopian tube, the fertilized ovum is propelled by cilia to the uterus for implantation. Tobacco interferes with the sweeping motion of that aids movement of the ovum to the uterus.
