Why do you think the paramecium would slow the number of contraction down in a salty environment

    Answer: Yes, paramecium slows down the number of contractions in salty water.

    Explanation: Because, in salt water pressure of water inside the cell is greater then outside then water is diluted by the salt and according to osmosis water move to outside from inside hence no need of contractile vacoule and slow contraction results.
