The plants in and around a meadow provide habitat for butterflies, field mouse and owl is because, the meadow plants are native grasses which have a different variety of herbaceous flowering plants. This becomes a local concentration of a wide variety of food for invertebrate animals such as butterflies. In addition, field mouse also feed on these kinds of plants because they mainly eat fruits, seeds and grains. Owls feed on smaller animals like the field mouse.
