    This refers to a trait that should be able to be treated with antibiotics but instead the trait has built up a resistance to this trait, sometimes this will even make the trait stronger. This can become fatal if the trait is resistant to all antibiotics available

    Antibiotic resistance is the ability of a microorganism to withstand the effects of an antibiotic. It is a specific type of drug resistance. Antibioticresistance evolves naturally via natural selection through random mutation, but it could also be engineered by applying an evolutionary stress on a population.
