What evidence suggests that venus has been resurfaced in the last half-billion years?

    The distribution of meteorite craters is perfectly random, and there are few craters distorted by tectonic movement. This can be explained by a sudden catastrophic sinking of the cooled surface rock with liquid magma coming to the surface.
