We produce many more synapses than we need, and then retain only those that are used in a "use it or lose it" fashion. what does this demonstrate?

    Explanation;

    -Brain development involves creating, strengthening, and discarding connections among the neurons; these connections are called synapses.

    -These synapses organize the brain by forming pathways that connect the parts of the brain governing what we do.

    -At birth the synapses present are those governing our bodily functions such as heart rate, breathing, eating, and sleeping.
