You then make an amazing paleontological find in South Africa: 18 complete skeletons of chimpanzee ancestors dating to 1.6 million years ago. You decide to combine your height measurements from both populations into one histogram and recalculate the mean and variance. In this scenario, what do you think will most likely happen to your variance?

C. Trick question, you can't caculate variance for extinct populations.
