    Out of the following given choices;

    A. 25%

    B. 55%

    C. 80%

    D. 95%

    The answer is; D.

    The Ilium is where most of the absorption of nutrients from the food we eat takes place. The ileum is well adapted for this task having a narrow lumen and well convoluted to move food slowly and give time for absorption. In addition, it has approximately 2,000 villi per square inch that increase the surface area for absorption.
