    Both living and non living

    Explanation:

Virus has the characteristics of both living and non living things. Virus act as non living when they are outside the cell. They are present in crystalline form. Virus also has living characters due to the presence of DNA material. Another living character is that they reproduce inside the living host cell and we know that reproduction is a living character. So virus act as both living and non living organisms.
