    Horsehair worms most likely have a large surface area compared to their volume.

    Horsehair worms belong to Nematomorpha and are also known as Gordian worms. They are 4 inches or longer and extermely thin at 1/80 - 1/10 inch in dimater. They are parasites to grasshoppers, crickets, cockroaches and beetles.
