    The carrying capacity for herbivores in an environment or habitat is most directly affected by the availability of a nutritious food supply. As their diet in that particular habitat or environment will usually be based off a more uniform or limited number of items, any increased competition or destruction of their food source will most likely have a catastrophic affect on the herbivore population.
