Some organisms obtain energy and nutrients from plants in an ecosystem. These organisms have energy stored in their bodies. What happens to the energy in the ecosystem when the organisms die?

    The energy that is stored within the organisms, hold nutrients and is then recycled in the ecosystem. In thought, the process happens when decomposers release nutrients, such as carbon and nitrogen, back into the environment. These nutrients are recycled back into the ecosystem so that the producers can use them.
