    Explanation:

    The other plants around the corn plant will be attacked and destroyed severely by the pests. Since corn is pest resistant, it will not be effected by pest attacks but other crops will get damaged.

    In this way the biodiversity will reduce as the corn plants could not mate with any other plant species (which die due to pest attack).

    hence, the ecosystem will get destabilize.
