The geologic column is an international system developed in the nineteenth century to establish the age of the fossils and strata of the earth, based on the idea that organic evolution was an established fact. However, the original classification of the strata was totally arbitrary, since they considered fossil simpler were put on the base of the spine, while in the upper strata put fossils allegedly involving more complex life forms.
Arguments against the geologic column:Against the geologic column there is an impressive array of evidence. Of these we highlight some of the most important:
-the Theory of the geologic column is a clear example of circular reasoning. The only reason to place the rock formations in chronological order is the presupposition of evolutionary progress; the only justification for assigning fossils to specific periods in the chronological order is the supposed evolutionary progression of life. To find the age of a fossil, the scientist sees what is stratum; to know the age of the strata, the scientist sees the kinds of fossils it contains. Today it is known that even ancient marine fossils that geologists considered as the simplest forms of life [eg trilobites], are actually as complex as organisms we see today. It's important to know that the geologic column does not exist anywhere in the world. He has never found a place in the geologic column of fossils. It exists only in the minds of evolutionary geologists. It's just an idea, a great number of geological systems, and not a column of rocks that can be seen in a specific place.-The Evolutionary geologists do not know how to explain the discovery of fossils in the wrong stratigraphic order, or poliestratos fossils. A typical example is the large tree trunks that pass through several layers (National Geographic, page 245, August 1975).-The Scientists can not explain the break in the deposition of sedimentary sequences or discrepancies, which increasingly found fossils in layers alternately with voids or gaps in intermediate layers occurs. If the geologic column were true, men and dinosaurs never have lived. However, we have found cave paintings of men with dinosaurs.-According To the geologic column, the trilobites are one of the first multicellular organisms distant man mln years. However, they have found fossils of trilobites crushed by human sandals.
The reality is contradictory evidence for evolutionists.
