A fish that normally lives in salty water is placed in a tank containing fresh water. What do you think will happen to the cells of the fish?

    Well, freshwater doesn't have the salt that a saltwater fish needs so the fish's cells (hypertonic cells) would become hypertonic which cannot mix with that fish's structure. Therefore, the fish, well, the fish would die.
