Coastal regions are often affected by abrasion. What processes would cause increased abrasion along a coastal region.

    The abrasion would be caused by the ocean waves and swell breaking up against the bedrock and soil of the coast so a major storm would increase abrasion as would a sea level increase which would put the edge of the ocean in contact with the bedrock and soil higher up the beach where it hadn't been attacked yet so initially there would probably be more abrasion there.
