    the model failed to account for the changes in the appearance of the inferior plants.

    Explanation:

    The model was a geocentric model that was based on the refraction. Though the theory was sound it did not provide a full truth about the orientation of planets in space. Also, the theory lacked compelling evidence of the heliocentric hypotheses. in addition, the model was rejected based on the fact that earth rotation cannot be immediately felt. In addition, earth does not have a perfect circular path around the sun. Lastly, the geocentric model makes much sense.
