    Forensic nursing is a specialized field that combines the fields of medicine and law. The professional of forensic nursing are required to address the immediate response for sexual assault cases, death investigation, legal consultations, and to understand the pyschology of a criminal. The field originated in 1980. Such professionals are found in hospitals, correctional homes, medical and coroner examiner offices.
