In a hypertonic solution, a cell would shrink, the water flowing out of it to reach osmotic equilibrium

In an isotonic solution, a cell would remain the same, the cell and the solution around it already in osmotic equilibrium

In a hypotonic solution, a cell would grow, the water flowing into it to reach osmotic equilibrium
