Why are protozoa not classified as bacteria?

Protozoa are eukaryotic organisms while bacteria are prokaryotic organisms. Protozoa do not have cell walls while bacteria have cell walls.

i think its because Protozoa do not have cell walls while bacteria have cell walls.
