In what way does agriculture, lumbering, housing, industrial development, and highway construction affect erosion

Here is what I'm guessing:

In agriculture, crops and trees will have their roots firmly in the ground which will prevent erosion and vice versa with lumbering. Any kind of construction and building will have land be cleared so there will be room for development. This, in turn, will disturb and continue to erode the land.
