The severe in the artery will lead to the blood loss in the body. There must be a decrease in the blood pressure in order to prevent the blood loss from the body.

Excessive blood loss from the body can be fatal for the body as it can lead to loss of the blood that is supplied to the vital organs of the body.

The homeostasis of the body works by preventing the changes in the body due to the external conditions. So, the homeostasis works by lowering down the blood pressure of the body to prevent more severe conditions caused by blood loss.
