Living things - humans, animals, plants etc

Non-living things - stone, vehicles, soil etc.

    Explanation:

Everything that exists as matter are classified as either living or non-living. Living things are those things that possess life in them while non-living things do not possess life. Due to the life that living things possess, they can perform certain characteristics that non-living things cannot perform. These characteristics include; movement, respiration, respond to stimulus, reproduce, excrete etc.

Based on the above explanation, examples of observed living things in a general schoolyard or local public park are the human beings, the animals like insects, the plants growing by the road side etc. while the non-living things that would be observed are the stone on the floor, the soil that makes up the earth, horning automobiles, etc.
