A computer and monitor together have a power rating of 440 watts. If they use 110 volts, what current runs through the devices?

    Power (in watts) = Voltage (in volts) x current (In Amperes)

    Putting the values in above equation we get:

    440 watts = 110 volts X current (In Amperes)

    current (In Amperes) = 440 watts/110 volts

    = 4 Amperes
