The hummingbird belongs to the class Aves but the lizard belongs to the class reptiles. The dinosaurs belong to the reptile class which are characterised by the scaly skin ans considered the scaly lizards.

The evolutionary studies suggested that the birds were evolved from the small meat-eating carnivore dinosaurs around 60 million years ago.

Although the hummingbird evolved from the lizards they fly like an insect or a dragonfly. This could have been the result of the same type of natural selection pressure on the hummingbird and the dragonfly.
