Which is one difference between the way terrestrial planets and Jovian planets formed?

There are eight planets in the solar system. First four planets are known as inner planets. They have rocky surface and hence are called Terrestrial planets. Terrestrial planets were formed from the planetesimals composed of rocks and metals. Terrestrial planets are - Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars.

The outer planets are Jovian planets composed mainly of Hydrogen and Helium. The core of the Jovian planets is made up of rocks and ice as these were formed in the outer regions of the solar system. Jovian Planets are Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.

Terrestrial planets are Earth-like planets (in Latin, terra means Earth) made up of rocks or metals with a hard surface - making them different from other planets that lack a solid surface.
