What data is most likely to determine the length of time a corpse has been dead?

    The answer to this question is: type of insects living on the corpse

    Different insects will attracted to different parts of the corpse. With this data, we could determine which period of decaying process that the corpse is currently in. For example, if they found blowfly, (that attracted to corpses' fluid and gas), the body should not be older than 2 days old.
