Jay's Nursery sells border plants for home gardeners at a discounted price of $12.99. Jay's has 335 plants it must sell. Fixed costs for all these plants were $1,675 and variable costs per plant are $3.65. What is the maximum profit to the nearest cent that Jay's will make if it sells all the plants at the discounted price?

    R (335) = 12.99 * 335 = 4,351.65

    C (335) = 3.65 (335) + 1675 = 2,897.75

    P (335) = 4361.65 - 2897.75 = 1,463. 90

    The max profit will be $1,463.90
