Egg yolks have a ph of 5.6; milk has a ph of 6.6; orange juice has a ph of 3.6; and water has a ph of 7. what is the difference in hydrogen ion concentration between milk and orange juice?

    Orange juice has a higher concentration of H + ions. hydrogen ions give rise to the acidic properties hence a lower pH indicates a higher H + ion concentration

    PH=-lg[H⁺]

    [H⁺]=10^ (-pH)

    [H⁺]m=10^ (-6.6)

    [H⁺]j=10^ (-3.6)

    [H⁺]j/[H⁺]m=10^ (-3.6) / 10^ (-6.6) = 1000

    Hydrogenium ion concentration in orange juice is in 1000 times more, than in milk.
