Is water wet? Like ... I know when water gets on you it makes you wet. But wouldn't it be the same if you were to get pepper on you your hand would just be "dirty"

    Water is wet.

    Explanation:

    When something is wet it is surrounded by water molecules. So if there is a single molecule by itself it is not wet but we can't easily see a single water molecule. So unless it is a single molecule of water then water is wet.

    wet is a characteristic of something when a liquid is in contact with it. Water is a liquid, and can make other things wet.
