A variety of chemicals produce a wide range of colors in fireworks.

    Sodium - yellow

    Copper - blue

    Barium compounds - green

    Lithium + strontium - red

    Calcium - orange

High temperature (aluminum + magnesium w / gunpowder) - white

You can create more colors by mixing these chemicals together. You can mix lithium with copper to produce a purple firework.

Glowing metals and the light that is emitted from burning chemical compounds with various molecular structures play a big role in producing visible colors.

EX: aluminum is used to produce silver and white flames, and also sparks

Calcium is used to deepen firework colors. It also produces orange fireworks
