Answer with Explanation
Groundwater is an important component as it provides water for daily use. It is also used in irrigation. Groundwater becomes polluted when materials from the land's surface make their way through the soil and get into the water. Chemicals such as oil, fuels, gasoline, and pesticides get into the water which makes the groundwater dangerous and polluted for use. Nitrates and sulfates discharged from the power plants can contaminate the groundwater too.
