Answer: Plasma membrane serves many roles in the cell.
The plasma membrane of a cell is a mess work which is made up of proteins and lipids that forms the outer layer of any cell. It is also called as cell membrane and acts as boundary for the cell.
The plasma membrane is semi permeable and it also regulates the materials that will enter the cell and that is restricted.
It protects the cell from the outer environment environment and maintains the stability and integrity of the cell.
