    A modern statement of Charles's law is: When the pressure on a sample

    of a dry gas is held constant, the Kelvin temperature and the volume will be

    directly related.

    Choice 'D' looks like the closest one.

    While I was answering this question, I discovered something very useful:

    I went to the internet, and opened my favorite search engine. (I can't tell

    you the name of it on here, but it rhymes with Ploogl.) Then I just typed

    'Charles Law' into the little window, and a lot of stuff popped up and told

    me everything I wanted to know about it, and a lot more. You could try it.
