34 g of water, will be produced

    Explanation:

The balanced equation for production of water with oxygen is:

    2H₂ (g) + O₂ (g) → 2H₂O (l)

2 mol of hydrgen gas react with 1 mol of oxygen to produce 2 moles of water.

Let's determine the moles of O₂ (mass / molar mass)

    30 g / 32g/mol = 0.9375 moles

Ratio is 1:2. So If I have x moles of oxygen I would produce the double of moles of water.

    0.9375 moles. 2 = 1.875 moles

Let's convert the moles to mass (mol. molar mass)

    1.875 mol. 18g/mol = 33.75 g ≅ 34 g
