The products and reactants are what go in and come out of the equation and are always included in the balanced chemical equation. The reaction type can be determined by looking at what goes in and how it comes out whether it is a Double-replacement reaction, single-replacement, combustion, combination or decomposition. Stoichiometry needs how much goes in of each element or compound.
