The molar mass of calcium is 40.08, oxygen is 16.0, and hydrogen is 1.01. What is the mass of one mole of calcium hydroxide (Ca (OH) 2) ?

    First find the total molar mass of the compound:

    40.08 + (2*16) + (2*1.01) = 74.09g/mol calcium hydroxide

    We also know that the units for molar mass is grams per mole, and since the problem is asking for the mass of one mole, the mass would be the same as the molar mass: 74.09g
