While working in a laboratory it is important to work with precaution because any type of negligence while performing an experiment can lead to hazardous results.

For example, you should take precaution on your own when you have a chipped or broken glassware in the laboratory.

First convey the teacher and your classmates about it so that no one can by mistake step on or place their hands on the glassware.

Doing so will make everybody cautious in the laboratory.

Thus, we can conclude that actions that you should take if you have chipped or broken glassware are as follows.

Notify your teacher. Notify classmates. Dispose of it in the designated glass waste area.
