The equilibrium between hemoglobin and oxyhemoglobin in the blood can be represented by the following reaction. Write the form of the equilibrium constant expression.

Hb+O2⇌HbO2

Express your answer in terms of concentrations [Hb], [O2], and [HbO2].

    The equilibrium constant can simply be calculating by taking the ratio of the concentration of the products and the concentration of the reactants. With this being said, the equilibrium constant Kc is therefore written as:

    Kc = [HbO2] / [Hb] [O2]
