One theme found in The Diary of Anne Frank, is the importance of having someone to listen to one's feelings. Which example from the play best illustrates this theme? During Peter's conflict with Mr. Dussel about his missing cat, Mr. Frank stops Peter from hitting Mr. Dussel. After Mr. Dussel's conflict with Mrs. Van Daan about the cake, Mr. Van Daan comes to his wife's defense. During Mr. Van Daan's conflict with his wife about the coat, Peter comes to the defense of his mother. After Anne's conflict with her mother about feelings, Peter listens and supports Anne as she vents her frustration.
