Is this dialogue used correctly?

"Miles can you come here real quick!" my mother yells from the kitchen. I was in my room when she yelled, listening to rock music and messing with my electric guitar.

"yeah, sure, hold on for a sec i gotta put my electric back in its case!"

"Ok, but hurry up i would like to talk to you about something before you leave for school!"

"Ah, dang" i whisper. "hold that thought, i still have to get ready!"

" wait you not ready?"
