Similar to the main character in Pilgrim's Progress, each girl makes a promise to change a flaw to be a better "little woman" when their father returns. Which character do you most relate to? Or which character is most opposite your personality? In 100 words or less, choose a character and compare or contrast her "bundle" to one of your own.

    Each sister has a flaw that she intends to correct. Read the beginning of the book and you will notice what they are. I recall that Beth was shy, and that she thought she was not doing her share of the housework because she would rather play the piano. Maybe you would rather retreat into your daydreams than contribute to the group or do your homework or chores. Then you identify with Beth.
