Sometimes it's hard to learn in a classroom with 20-30 other kids yelling and raising hands everywhere and every direction. Behaviorism is a multiple seen view that operates on a principle of stimulus-response in which all behavior caused by the external stimuli. All behavior can be explained without the need to consider internal mental states or consciousness.

So basically learning is the accepting of new knowledge and being able to put it into practice. Different theories of learning are important because not everyone is the same and each person learns better a certain way.
