The correct answer should be soliloquy. Soliloquies are parts of a play where the characters speaks about what is troubling him so that no one can hear him. Something similar to thinking out loud. One famous soliloquy is Hamlet's soliloquy where we find out more about the character while he finds out more about himself in the process.
